Was looking for the perfect jigging rod for big lakers and this rod did not disappoint. The rod's great sensitivity, backbone, super light weight, and longer rod butt help to hook n stop good fish. I got the 7'-10". Yeah this is the rod. Thank you!
Love these rods. Took them out jigging for Lakers on my first trip of the season the other day and they preformed phenomenally well. Very comfortable and I really like the extended but section when jigging from the kayak. Ended up landed over 15 12-30lbs Mackinaw that day and they did everything I wanted a rod to do. Took a lot of strain off my shoulder. My other rods are mostly gloomis and these rods are now my favorite for what I am doing. Thank you for a great product.
Best rod available for open water vertical jigging big Great Lakes fish.
Excellent rod. Great company to work with and very responsive. If you want a dedicated rod for jigging lake trout this is the one. Also if you contact them you can get a custom build on this lake trout jigging blank. Also if anyone’s curious the 7’ rod has a total of about 21 1/2 inches of handle. The long handle is nice for extended battles and with that much handle the rod fishes like a shorter rod. It’s absolutely perfect.
Best big water jigging rod available
Best rod i ever used for pulling monsters from the deep
First time ever jigging for lake trout on Grand Traverse Bay. Used a buddy's set up which was the Mags 7'10" M/H trout/salmon rod. Caught a 32-inch laker & the rod managed the fish with ease. Ordered my own rod the following day!
I love it holds up very well solid rod
Love the rod. Enough back bone to handle the bigger fish and good flex for the sudden big runs. It’s been working out great!
Great company great product
These rods are absolutely 💯% spot on for this type of fishing. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a lake trout/salmon jigging rod.
Years of jigging many different rods alongside each other on the Great Lakes and the Mags jigging rods are always the best tool for the job on our boat. The sensitivity, overall endurance, craftsmanship, and quality components make for a perfect tuned setup for maximizing our odds on the water. Really like the handles and how well they feel in use and how nice they clean up. Rods are truly a work of art and designed to have longevity against harsh elements/aggressive fishing methods. Thanks to the Mags team for hooking me up over the years. SLOB ON MON
One of my many mags jigging rods, absolutely one of the best jogging rods money can buy today. A lot of my clients would agree on how sensitive and strong ( not to mention cool looking ) they are
Love it just caught a 20lb laker on it!!!
Best laker rod available to man kind

Great rod love my walleye jigging rod had to try the salmon one out and I’m glad I did thing is awesome
Showed up in time and the quality is apparent.
Fantastic product
Fantastic for both jogging lakers and throwing big baits for pike!
Great Rod for jigging! Very impressed with the build and performance.
Very nice jigging rod
High quality finish. Balanced handling. Sensitive tip with substantial backbone to handle powerful fish. Absolutely worth the money. Quality rivals high-end G Loomis or St Croix sticks at a fraction of the cost.
Love how sensitive it is for jigging in 200' if water and the hook setting power! Awesome job
Haven’t used it yet but it’s looks and quality build have persuaded me to Purchase another one. Can’t wait till spring. Ed C.
Wanted to love this rod! Feels rather cheap out of the package. One of the guides bent in the first day of use and the rod makes a creaking sound when rigged. I've had a few custom rods and this one doesn't really cut it unfortunately.
Great company and great product. Highly recommend.
I love the rod! It's the perfect balance of sensitivity and muscle.
Haven’t tried it yet. Should be excellent
Haven’t used it yet but it’s definitely a solid build and feels great in the hand. Can’t wait to get out with it!!!
Seems like an incredibly built rod!!!! Can’t wait to use it.
They way to truly judge a company is when there is a problem and how they resolve it. My rod was damaged in shipping, a simple phone call and email was all it took and I got a new rod. Absolutely love how it feels but won't get the chance to really put it to work until spring. My first time dealing with Mags and they get an A_+.
I been ordering rods from Pat since about 5 years ago. I live in Wisconsin so they typically arrive within 24 hours of when he sends them. All the products have been super solid quality wise and I wouldn't trust anyone else to build the rods I rely on day in and day out. Pat has incredible work ethic and is very invested in happy customers and great products. Anything I didn't get direct I got from north shore in oconto who also has a great selection of mags rods. When I have questions he always finds me the right rod for my needs which is very appreciated.
Hands down the best jigging rod I’ve ever used for lakers and hopefully soon some salmon, the rod loads up absolutely perfectly on big hard hitting lakers with plenty of aborstion for them big head shakes. Loved it so much I bought the girlfriend one and everyone I fish with is changing teams and getting on team mags! Definitely will be needing more than the two that I currently have from his line up.
