Was looking for the perfect jigging rod for big lakers and this rod did not disappoint. The rod's great sensitivity, backbone, super light weight, and longer rod butt help to hook n stop good fish. I got the 7'-10". Yeah this is the rod. Thank you!
Love these rods. Took them out jigging for Lakers on my first trip of the season the other day and they preformed phenomenally well. Very comfortable and I really like the extended but section when jigging from the kayak. Ended up landed over 15 12-30lbs Mackinaw that day and they did everything I wanted a rod to do. Took a lot of strain off my shoulder. My other rods are mostly gloomis and these rods are now my favorite for what I am doing. Thank you for a great product.

Excellent rod. Great company to work with and very responsive. If you want a dedicated rod for jigging lake trout this is the one. Also if you contact them you can get a custom build on this lake trout jigging blank. Also if anyone’s curious the 7’ rod has a total of about 21 1/2 inches of handle. The long handle is nice for extended battles and with that much handle the rod fishes like a shorter rod. It’s absolutely perfect.

First time ever jigging for lake trout on Grand Traverse Bay. Used a buddy's set up which was the Mags 7'10" M/H trout/salmon rod. Caught a 32-inch laker & the rod managed the fish with ease. Ordered my own rod the following day!

Wanted to love this rod! Feels rather cheap out of the package. One of the guides bent in the first day of use and the rod makes a creaking sound when rigged. I've had a few custom rods and this one doesn't really cut it unfortunately.

They way to truly judge a company is when there is a problem and how they resolve it. My rod was damaged in shipping, a simple phone call and email was all it took and I got a new rod. Absolutely love how it feels but won't get the chance to really put it to work until spring. My first time dealing with Mags and they get an A_+.
I been ordering rods from Pat since about 5 years ago. I live in Wisconsin so they typically arrive within 24 hours of when he sends them. All the products have been super solid quality wise and I wouldn't trust anyone else to build the rods I rely on day in and day out. Pat has incredible work ethic and is very invested in happy customers and great products. Anything I didn't get direct I got from north shore in oconto who also has a great selection of mags rods. When I have questions he always finds me the right rod for my needs which is very appreciated.
Hands down the best jigging rod I’ve ever used for lakers and hopefully soon some salmon, the rod loads up absolutely perfectly on big hard hitting lakers with plenty of aborstion for them big head shakes. Loved it so much I bought the girlfriend one and everyone I fish with is changing teams and getting on team mags! Definitely will be needing more than the two that I currently have from his line up. Buy local and support local business
