Fishing rod works great for drop shoting
I ordered the 6'9" casting rod for my river topwater fishing, and I finally got the chance to put it through it's paces. It works beautifully. The rod is light and crisp, with a softer tip that gives me good accuracy and keeps trebles in place when I hook up. Great rod.
Very well built rod. Sensitive and has enough power to be versatile for bass, pike, and walleye and more.
caught this 4lb 10 oz Smallmouth with my 7ft panfish rod also caught many walleye that day in 20 to 22in category with it what a blast.
Best rods I’ve ever put in my hands. I bought two of the pre built rods. 6’2” MF and 6’10”MLextra fast. Both are great !! Extremely light and sensitive. I’ve used both rods for everything open water in my tackle box as I have with any other rod I’ve previously owned, including throwing live bait with and w/o bobbers.MAGS are superior and in reach of $$ for the average person !! The Medium Light 7'2" is the most amazing rod I've ever used. Amazing sensitivity with a strong back bone. It went toe to toe or should I say toe to fin with this 27 3/4" walleye. I had my fishing buddies with me. It couldn't have been sweeter! Thanks Pat and the crew!
I chose the 7'2" model for bottom hopping jigs for hybrids and I think it's a fantastic choice. The rod is light so I can pop leadheads for hours, and has the tip for allowing the jig to get a little deeper set. The guides are phenomenal with braid; tall feet eliminate tangles and the FG knot flies through the inserts with hardly a whisper. And once the hook is set, the rod has excellent power to bring fish to hand and a quick photo op. Love it.
Love it. Rod is a beast for pulling hybrids out of tailwaters, which is exactly why I got it. The length helps me to reach out to fish breaking a couple locks over, and steer them out after hookup. I absolutely love the guides; braid doesn't tangle and my leader knot flies through without any hitches. Extremely sensitive and light, so the only time I put it down is when the hybrids wear me out lol 10 out of 10.
I can feel every little bump and bite. Love em.
When these were released, I knew I had to try a couple for my Lake Erie trip. They were excellent for throwing Jigging Raps, Finishers, and Heavy Jigs with Crawlers in Deep Water. Shortly after, I took them to Green Bay, with the same great results throwing Shiver Minnows and Spoons. The Extra-Fast tip really gives these baits a popping action and sensitivity that is unmatched!

This was my first season with the new Mags jogging rod. all I can say is super sensitive, very light and great backbone for the hook set. Outfished everyone in the boat. Would definitely buy another.

On a whim I ordered my first 7'2" medium heavy fast action spinning rod which I've Fallin in love with and since I've ordered 5 more to vertical jig 1oz walleye jigs and 2-4oz bottom bouncers with crawler harnesses in tow, a bit pricey but it's obvious I'm not shy about paying for quality products
I'm very particular to having a rod with alot of back bone very fast tip very sensitive and very light weight overall to bounce my 1oz jigs off the bottom of the Detroit and Saint Clair rivers and (your/Mags) 7'2" med/heavy spinning rod fits the bill and puts a smile on my face wish they were a bit cheaper BUT I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for!!

Love at first touch happened at Paul’s North Shore Bait Company in Oconto. I picked up the 7’6” ML fast and instantly knew this was the rod I had to have for hair jigs. I ended up purchasing one directly from Maggs as soon as I got home. The first trip out was on the Bay and it was bent over all day. The finesse and feel is second to none. I’ve never personally fished with a rod with so much sensitivity that you can almost feel them thinking about biting, I will be replacing all my rods open water and hard. I will recommend Maggs to anyone.

High quality. First purchase of a MAGS rod and well I am hooked. Finally convinced the guys to go to Green Bay early this last spring. Fishing was tough at first trying to break the ice but rod was flawless even at 20 degrees out. This is just one of the monsters caught. Works well in warm weather too. Adam
When the son's of one of my best friends were graduating this year, the decision to get them MAGS rods was an easy one. They're both Honor Students and Captains of their High School Fishing Team. Paired with a pflueger president xt, this is a perfect spinning setup. I used 3/16 and 1/4oz jigs for walleye and loved it.
Hey everyone! I was curious if this would be a good buy or not. Let me tell you, it's one of the finest rods I've ever owned. Don't hesitate buy these rods! I'm working on replacing my ice rods with Mags next.
I believe I know own seven MAGS rods. Five spinning in a couple different actions and two of their bottom bouncer baitcasters. Quality builds and I've never had any issues with any of them. Although they have a one year warranty I've heard they stand behind their products if there's ever an issue. I recommend them to my friends.
Absolutely love the feel and sensitivity of these rods!! This was a gift to replace the one I broke. I Can't say enough about the customer service at mags, great people, producing great products!
The first place I used my new Mags rod was on the Menominee river during the walleye run. The water was moving fast so the long cast I got from the rod allowed me to get the p-10 down to depth. The fish always bit on the pause so the sensitivity of the rod helped me pick up on lighter bites in the current. When the fish was hooked the rod loaded up and I was able to land more fish, and avoid fish getting into the cover.
I’ve been a St. Croix guy forever but unfortunately I will be retiring them and ordering another MAGS custom rod. Hands down new rod of choice, amazing action and very sleek rods. 7’2 MF ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Quite possibly the best rod for throwing finesse style swimbaits and hair jigs and it’s made in Michigan. Very impressed with this rod. Paired nicely with a 2500 Daiwa Ballistic

This is my 1st time out with my new mags pre-built 7-6 MLF rod. I love it. Very light and you can feel everything with this rod.
Pat, you have to try it to believe it, I was jigging 26 to 32 feet of water and when I hit the mud or a rock you could feel it like if you reached down with your hand and felt it. maybe I shouldn't be saying this and keeping this my secret but that wouldn't be fair to you or your products. Keep up the great work. as far as the reel I ordered the wrong size I should of ordered the 2000 and not the 1000 my bust. Thanks , John Amacher
Hello, just thought I'd reach out and let u know you have another happy customer. Bought a mags 7'2 med fast from the reel shot for snapping jigging raps. I originally thought when I received it that it was gonna be a little stiff but worked really well. I ordered from the reel shot since you don't ship to Ontario. Will buy another in the near future.
