I bought this rod then got busy at work and haven't had a chance to use it yet but it looks very well built.

I absolutely love this rod for float fishing some of the bigger Lake Ontario and Lake Erie tribs. I have the 13’ 6-10. Plenty of backbone for big steelhead and salmon in heavy flows, a fast enough tip to get a good hook set even on super long drifts, and amazing build quality. It’s also fairly lightweight for a 13’ rod. I honestly can’t wait to buy another Mags rod.

From Chrome Kings on Skein to handling big Steelhead, this rod covers it all. Perfect action in the top section to handle large head-shakes with enough mid-section backbone to crank down on fish headed for the wood. Balances perfectly with a 3000-4000 Shimano Vanford reel. I really like this rod for fall steelhead when running heavier leaders.

My second 13 ft bait cast rod from mags and I fish hard with them love the length. Hard to find a 13 ft baitcaster not many companies make them!

This is a well balanced rod that fishes great. Plenty of power to turn those hard charging fish, yet a soft enough tip to protect a 8lb leader. Will be purchasing another.
