I had been fishing with a Fenwick 'world class' medium light targeting yellow perch and they are indeed a fine rod but decided to step up to a power noodle from MAGS and it was a night and day difference!! I was detecting bites that I had not previously before seen and my bucket count went from 25 - 30 to 40 and 50 on comparable days. These power noodles are incredibly nice finesse rod; Worth every penny!!

Bought the custom power noodle rod. Took it out for the first time and was able to jig up a nice brown. You felt everything. The fish had the rod bent pretty good but the rod still had plenty of backbone to handle the fish now problem. I will be buying a custom carbon rod in the future.

I purchased a short rod and a longer rod but have only been able to use the longer one so far due to lack of ice. The short rod was for my portable shanty. I caught a lot of panfish in the last week and my initial feeling is I'd like a more sensitive tip for bite detection. I do not want to have to add a spring bobber or such. Comparing it to my 13 Fishing rods, 13 Fishing has a better tip for panfish bite detection. Other than that the quality seems good and looks nice.

Finally got good enough ice to try out my new 31 inch power noodle. I have a clam carbon scepter rod that I love. Well………. I am here to say the Mags power noodle has taken the spot of my “Go To” rod and the clam has been demoted. Mags power noodle is very sensitive and I could feel a lot more when using it. I think I had more fish on the ice because of it. I will be buying another in the near future. If you’re on the fence, I’m here to say buy it. It is a great rod.

Well, I bought the custom noodle rod and it was my very 1st custom rod. I was only able to fish with it for about 45 minutes until.........I handed it to my girlfriend to try. Needless to say, I ordered another one from Eskimo as I won't be fishing with out a MAGS Rod again!

Can’t beat the 32” power noodle for a day on the ice. Sensitive tip to feel and see even the lightest bites but plenty of backbone to bring in about anything. Use it to target gills, crappie, and perch with great success but also landed a few accidental catches up to 30” pike.
I loved it so much that I bought my son the pink power rod this winter and that has led to a couple buddies also getting them. The problem is with all in my group having them, it no longer feels special. Lol

The Mags Power Noodle has been a very versatile rod for me. Has a soft enough tip to see "up-bites" from crappie yet, isn't mushy when jigging like most other fiberglass rods I have used.
That soft tip transitions into a nice backbone for deep water hooksets and to control bigger fish.
In addition to jigs, I have also worked small to mid sized spoons and other hard jigging lures with the Power Noodle.
Also available with Recoil guides for increased ice resistance and durability. Never was a believer in Recoils until actually using them.

If you are in the market for a new ice panfish rod, get it. By far the BEST panfish rod for ice I have used. It's sensitive and has a great backbone. I've had mine for about 2 years and most of the guys who panfish with me have ended up getting one too.

If you decide to treat yourself to a custom rod - look no further. Owner and rod builder Pat Magdaleno’s work is second to none. I purchased a Power Noodle rod recently. Spending a few extra bucks for a rod you can’t get your hands on in person can be a bit of a challenge. I told Pat what I was looking for a -Power Noodle rod that would allow me to finally ditch my spring bobber! He assured me his Power Noodle rod with recoil guides would fit the bill perfectly. In fact if I was not 100% satisfied he said I could return it for a full refund. Besides the attention to detail in the rod workmanship- just as important is Pat’s over the top customer service, something that seems an exception not the rule these days. I give MAGS Custom Rods 5 stars!
